Huge concert scheduled for Youngstown

JAC Management Group recently announced that the “largest music event” ever in the city’s history will be held this summer in Youngstown.

JAC’s president, Eric Ryan, wondered why Youngstown should not put on a stadium-type show, and decided there was no reason for not doing so. With that in mind, JAC announced that the Zac Brown Band will be in Youngstown in August.

The band last went on the road in 2016, breaking attendance records at Fenway Park in Boston, and the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, on its ‘Black Out the Sun’ tour. The band has won three Grammys, and several of its albums have gone platinum. Their current tour coincides with the release of their latest album, ‘Welcome Home’. The band, which plays country music, is known for hits like ‘Free’, ‘Toes’, and ‘Chicken Fried’.

Bringing the band to Youngstown is risky, however—in order to break even, JAC will have to sell nearly every seat. However, both Ryan and Youngstown’s mayor, John McNally, believe the gamble is worth it, and say it could be the beginning of bringing more concerts to the city.

The Zac Brown Band comes to the Stambaugh Stadium at Youngstown State University on August 24, at 7:00 pm. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, June 24 at 10:00 am.

Events like this can benefit if organizers work with a postcard printing company to create an announcement for city residents.
