According to the owner and president of GreenHeart Companies LLC, the parking deck in the downtown Youngstown Legal Arts Centre building will be open for use by the end of October.
The deck is just one step of many in the rehabilitation of property at the 101 Market Street. A subsidiary of GreenHeart bought the Legal Arts Building in 2019, but work on the property was tabled until the student housing project, Campus Loft, was finished.
The recent demolition of the Legal Arts Centre parking deck was necessary due to the long-term water damage that had taken place over the years. Once the new deck is operational, it will probably be opened for fee-based parking.
The Thomas D. Lambros Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse is adjacent to the building as well as being across the street from the Mahoning County Courthouse. Discussions are underway with those interested in first-floor space in the building.

Moreover, in addition to the Youngstown Legal Arts Centre, several infrastructure and redevelopment projects are either underway or in the pipeline in the city’s downtown area. This includes the Fifth Avenue and other downtown streets’ $31m rehabilitation.
Renovations are also planned for the Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s center for Science & Technology, and a building housing the Youngstown Business Incubator.
