The company presented a grant worth $20,000 to the Oak Hill Collaborative to fund the Digital Advantage Initiative. The initiative provides residents with classes on computer education and runs workshops that are focused on helping the youth, as well as underemployed or unemployed adults. The partnership with Oak Hill will also provide digital literacy workshops free of charge.

Julius Oliver, the Councilman for 1st Ward, published a press release that said:
“This community workshop and the AT&T Foundation contribution to Oak Hill Collaborative help more of our Mahoning Valley neighbors become confident in their ability to utilize a computer for work, school and home life.”
AT&T also intends to improve internet connectivity in Youngstown by bringing Hyper-Gig and AT&T Fiber network speeds to the region by year’s end.
