The nonprofit organization known as Main Street Medina held a fundraiser on June 16, 2016, according to an article in the Medina Gazette.
The group works on economic development concerns and business promotions. For this occasion, the organization held a “progressive dinner,” an event that has been popular for many years. A progressive meal usually requires diners to move from place to place, having one course of a meal at each location. In this case, twenty-nine people “progressed” from one restaurant to another, having a course of their meal at each one of four eateries. The four restaurants chosen were Twiisted, Thyme2, Marie's Cafe, and the Main Street Cafe.
The evening began at 6 p.m., when diners met at Twiisted. They then moved to Marie's Cafe at 6.45 p.m., where owner Brian Hilberg created a dinner salad to start the evening. From there, they went to the Main Street Diner, and finished the evening at Thyme2. The entire evening offered appetizers, salad, an entree, dessert, and a wine pour.
The salad at Marie's Cafe comprised Swiss chard and baby kale topped with a poached egg, with a citrus vinaigrette dressing. Participants had their choice of chicken, steak, or a vegetarian selection for the main course.
Events like these can benefit from the work of a flyer printing company, which can create maps and Menus to help diners find the participating restaurants, and also list the offerings.
