Ice sculptures soon to adorn Medina streets

Medina is expected to be hosting an annual ice sculpture festival that has been taking place for over three decades. This event is open to all residents, and visitors can expect to witness numerous creations handcrafted by professionals.

The 32nd Annual Medina Ice Festival is intended to showcase works of art that have been envisioned by experienced carvers. From plants and animals to fictional characters, and abstract pieces, there is sure to be something here for everyone. All sculptures will be on display for a total of three days, although this may depend on weather conditions.

Those who participate in the Medina Ice Festival can purchase up to three blocks of solid ice. These may then be carved in the best way the sculptor deems fit. The event is being sponsored by Elegant Ice Creations.

Organizers will often encourage companies to sponsor individual exhibits, as public events are excellent advertising possibilities. Some techniques include banner printing, distributing promotional items, and handing out leaflets.

The 2026 Medina Ice Festival is taking place between Friday, February 20 and Monday, February 23. All sculptures will be placed throughout downtown Medina, and the exact itinerary has yet to be finalized. Those who have additional questions should speak with a representative from Main Street Medina, or can make contact through the event’s website.
