Food drive upcoming on behalf of Feeding Medina County

Real estate giant Keller Williams is partnering with Medina's schools in a drive to help collect food for the Feeding Medina County program.

The truck belonging to Feeding Medina County will soon be at Medina High School to collect donations.

Feeding Medina County is a nonprofit organization that distributes food to the area's needy families. At the present time, it is asking for donations of soap, hand sanitizer, canned fruit, tuna, dried beans, rice, popcorn, boxed pasta, dried milk, and various goods that come in cans or jars.

Feeding Medina County seeks to engage, educate and lead the community in an effort to make sure nobody in the area is hungry. It runs programs that put food in front of families, children, and seniors in the area.

The truck will be at Ken Dukes Stadium on October 23, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This is the date of Medina's last home game of the season, which will be played against Euclid High School. In addition, people can drop off donations from Monday to Friday next week at each of the school district's buildings.

Food drive organizers might want to work with a flyer printing company to devise a mailer for the entire community and surrounding area, giving the date of the drive and a list of desired items.
