Lewis Center's Buffalo Wings and Rings has new owners

A popular eatery in Lewis Center has changed hands, with the new pair at the helm looking to revamp the venue.

Todd Fetter wanted to invest in a restaurant franchise, and in 2009, began looking into Buffalo Wings and Rings. Fetter ate at the Lewis Center location and enjoyed it so much he went on to build his own store in 2013, in Piqua. Now, he and a business partner, John Gerbus, have bought the Lewis Center store from Frank Nunziata. The reason for the purchase, according to Fetter, is that he and his partners 'really, really like the Columbus market'.

Buffalo Wings and Rings, which is based in Cincinnati, only has three locations in the area: one in Groveport, and two in Lewis Center.

Buffalo Wings and Rings' rival, Buffalo Wild Wings, already has 13 locations open. In total, Buffalo Wing and Rings operates approximately 50 restaurants in 13 states.

Fetter and Gerbus say Buffalo Wings and Rings has an edge on the competition because they make almost all their items from scratch. The duo says plans for updates include new signage and paint on the exterior, and a remodeled interior with brighter décor , as well as new televisions. They plan to work on the improvements now and on into early fall.

Fetter and Gerbus might consider working with a flyer printing company in Lewis Center on a handout to be distributed near the store when it reopens. If they include a coupon, they might increase business.
