The Dayton suburb of Kettering is planning a special day for the whole family, where everyone can learn more about nature.
This is the 17th year for TreeFest, where attendees have an opportunity to clean up the area and plant trees. They will also have a chance to meet Kettering officials, chat with firefighters, and learn about the benefits of caring for trees and for the planet.
People who have watering containers, shovels, and gloves are asked to bring them along.
The event will be held at the Habitat Environmental Center, which began as the Land Lab Nature Program in 2003, and expanded to become a full facility in 2013. The center’s mission is to engage with the public and educate people about ways to create a fairer, sustainable future.
The center promotes recreational programs based on nature to encourage people to learn more about the world, become better stewards, and reduce their impact on the environment.
Tree Care, Inc., will be sponsoring the event. Their motto is “Trees Make Live Better,” a sentiment they want to share at the event.
TreeFest 2024 is scheduled for Saturday, April 20, from 9.00am until 12.00pm. The Habitat Environmental Center is located at 3036 Bellflower Street. TreeFest is open to everyone, but children must be accompanied by adults.
Organizers of events of this nature often use brochure printing to create pamphlets explaining their mission.
