Counting Crows was founded in 1991 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their career was successful almost from the beginning, as their first album, 1993’s “August and Everything After,” sold over seven million in the U.S. In 1994, the band was nominated for two Grammys, one for “Best New Artist,” and one for "Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal” for the single “Round Here.” “Recovering the Satellites,” their next album, climbed to No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 album chart.
In 2004, the band was nominated for an Academy Award for “Accidentally in Love,” which was used in “Shrek 2.” Their other honors include an American Music Award as “Favorite Alternative Artist” in 1995, and an MTV Music Award as Best New Artist in a Video in 1994 for “Mr. Jones.” Thus far, the band has sales of over 20 million albums. A review says:
“These guys are the reason why their live show is their bread and butter.”
Also appearing is The Gaslight Anthem, a band established in 2006 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. They released their first album, “Sink or Swim” in 2007, and their most recent effort, “History Books” in 2023.
The bands will be at the Fraze Pavilion in Kettering on June 10, at 7.00 pm. When they plan events like this, organizers often use poster printing to create advertising for them.
