A yearly arts and crafts event is returning to Kettering for the 36th year.
The annual Art on the Commons Fine Arts and Crafts Festival will be held at Lincoln Park Civic Commons, one of the most beautiful parks in the Dayton area.
The event will bring approximately 100 artists from throughout the country together to display their work. Art will be exhibited in categories including ceramics, fiber and leather, glass, jewelry, painting, wood, sculpture, Print making, photography and more.
Among the food vendors will be Ernie’s, a Fraze Pavilion concessionaire, Hamburger Wagon, Sweet P’s Handcrafted Ice Pops, Claybourne Grille, Gary’s Italian Ice, and A Cut Above, which serves German food such as brats and schnitzel.
The bands on the schedule include The Nautical Theme, a duo formed in 2017 by Matt Shetler on guitar and vocals, and Tesia Mallory, keyboards and vocals. Their work is considered folk and Americana.
The Bruins, a four-piece outfit, are based in Dayton and are either a pop, soul, or jazz group, depending on how they feel at the time. Also scheduled to appear are Anna Marie, Ozzi Zappia, and Frank Calzada and Friends.
The festival is scheduled for August 11, from 11.00 am until 5.00 pm. The bands play for 45 minutes each, beginning with Ozzi Zappia at 11.15 am. The commons is at 675 Lincoln Park Boulevard in Kettering. When events like this are planned, organizers will often use brochure printing to create Booklets as guides to the art.
