The methodology used by MastersInAI.org was data-driven and founded on verified outcomes such as graduate debt and post-graduation earnings, as well as external recognition among business and technology rankings. Only primarily online programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) were qualified for ranking by MastersInAI.org.

Ohio University’s program includes a high-impact Leadership Development Conference taking place in Athens over a single weekend, as well as seven-week courses. Full-time students may choose a three-semester (12-month) or four-semester (16-month) course of study, while students who attend part-time may pursue a six-semester (24-month) schedule.

An Applied Business Experience capstone is included in the 35-credit curriculum, which permits students to take part in simulated business challenges allowing for an experience-driven, hands-on approach to learning. Nine credits are required across three courses: focusing business analytics with AI, AI in business, and deploying AI within practical organizational contexts. These can also be taken to obtain an online standalone graduate certificate.
