Williston Park leads the way in Long Island real estate

According to a recent study by a technology company based in New York, Williston Park places first when it comes to selling a home on Long Island.

SmartAsset, the company that performed the research, measured how many days a home stays on the market. It determined that the ones in this community stay an average of 56 days, which puts it at the 10th spot in New York and makes it the only village in Long Island to earn a place in the top 10.

AJ Smith, who is a SmartAsset managing editor, noted that this can be tied to a strong economy in the area, as the numbers of people who want to move here is higher than those who want to leave. This positive indicator can be good news for the firms that provide goods and services, such as business card printing, to other companies, as it can mean there will be plenty of demand for their products.

It was also discovered that the people who reside in the community tend to do so for a long time. Again, this is felt to be reflective of a thriving economic climate, suggesting that people want to stay where they are and not move away in search of something better.

The information for the study was obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau, and also from Zilow.
