The sport of fencing is making a comeback in the Williston Park area this autumn, with a clinic in nearby Garden City helping young athletes grow their skills and confidence.
The Garden City Fall Fencing Clinic will be coming to St. Paul’s Field in Garden City this September, with the announcement intended to provide local families with time to build the experience into the agenda. The experience will allow children from kindergarten through 8th grade to sharpen their skills or learn the fundamentals.
Students will get to discover new techniques they can practice at the clinic and at home. It will also provide a setting where participants can form new friendships with peers who share their interest in fencing. St. Paul’s Field, located at 293 Stewart Avenue in Garden City, will be the host site for this community fencing clinic. It runs from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 18. Registration costs $402 per child online.
