An opportunity to revisit the Gilded Age is coming to a venue near Williston Park next month, with attendees supporting a good cause.
The Gilded Age Gala, which is being organized by the Garden City Historical Society, is on the horizon, taking guests back to the 19th century for an evening of socializing, cocktails, dancing, and dinner. The gala is commemorating Alexander Turney Stewart and his work to found Garden City and help build some of the community’s iconic structures.
Attire is black tie or accurate late-19th century clothing. The evening will start with cocktails and mingling inside the host venue. The social hour will be followed by a procession into the dinner environment, where guests will enjoy food from Prime Fine Catering. The interior design and decor from Spaeth Design will add to the atmosphere. Printing services can help organizers design and use luxurious promotional materials to reach a broad audience with the event’s details.
An orchestra has been booked to provide the music for the evening’s dances. The evening will end with a crescendo, with guests enjoying a fireworks show from Grucci over the host venue’s spire.
The Cathedral of Incarnation in nearby Garden City will host the gala. The doors open at 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 3. Interested individuals can reserve tickets online, starting at $530.45 for general admission.
