Service dogs to be honored

An evening of recognition is being planned for service dogs near Williston Park this April, providing area residents with a memorable way to support a good cause.

The Hearts and Heroes: Paws of War event has opened ticket sales to interested parties in the Williston Park area, providing those who attend with the chance to honor the nation’s heroes and the service dogs that support them. The evening will celebrate the bonds between military servicemembers, first responders, and other heroes, and the work of Paws of War in supporting these individuals.

Paws of War is a local organization that aims to support these individuals and their families by providing trained and compassionate service dogs and emotional support animals. The programs work to restore hope and independence while offering healing to the heroes who need it most. Poster printing is a colorful way to catch attention and share the important details about such events, increasing awareness and attendance.

Attendees will also learn more about the War-Torn Program, which rescues animals from war-torn regions and reunites them with the U.S. military members who connected with them while serving overseas, creating a second chance for both humans and animals.

The Royalton Mansion in neighboring Roslyn Heights will host the evening of recognition. It’s set for Thursday, April 23rd, at 6:00 PM. Tickets can be reserved online for $161.90 per guest.
