At the end of November, residents of Williston Park will have the opportunity to work off their Thanksgiving dinners during the village's inaugural Family Fun Run/Walk.
The race is being held in the memory of the late Molly Murphy, a former resident of Williston Park. The village has used printing services to create Flyers for the event, as well as registration Forms. Although the time for early registration has passed, people can still sign up for the race. The fee to participate is $20. People are also able to register on the day of the event, but may not be able to win prizes if they do so. The first 150 registered are given a free T-shirt.
Only residents of the village and their relatives are eligible to sign up for and participate in the race. A light breakfast will be served beforehand.
The race will be held on November 29, rain or shine, kicking off with a Kids’ Fun Run at 8:30 am. The all-ages race is scheduled to start at 9:00 am. Prizes will be given to the runners who score the best times based on age. The age groups start at seven to nine, and go up to an over 60s group. Every child who participates in the Kids Fun Run will get a prize.
