Eternal Con, a pop culture convention, will return for a weekend next month. The event will take place at Hempstead, and locals from Williston Park can also attend.
The convention will celebrate different facets of pop culture like comic Books, artists, celebrities, and collectibles. Guest will have a chance to visit many exhibitors, including comic book sellers and video game companies. Celebrities will also be at the event to meet and greet with fans and sign autographs. Some famous faces attending include Reb Brown and Dean Cain, known for their roles as Captain Marvel and Superman respectively.
The event will also have a cosplay contest for guests to participate in. Characters from all genres and media are welcome, including film, television, comics, anime, and video games. Both experts and novices are welcome to participate, and judges will score costumes according to how well designed and crafted they are. Winners will receive prizes, which are usually Promotional Products and other goods.
The convention will happen on August 7 and 8, and gates will open at 10:30 AM on both days. Tickets are $20 for the first day and $15 for the second. Children ages nine and under can enter for free. The venue for the event is the David S. Mack Sports Complex at Hofstra University on 1000 Hempstead Turnpike.
