Fun food festival coming to Williston Park area

For the third year, the Carltun will be the site of a festival that promises to be delicious fun.

The Third Carltun Food and Wine Festival will feature food and wine pairings, with more than 300 wines available for tasting, paired with scrumptious food prepared by the Carltun's Executive Chef, Rodrigo Bernal. The chef will set up a number of stations prepared specially for the event. They will include cuisine inspired by Italy, France, and Asia, as well as New York seafood and more.

There are also additional activities planned, as well as live music at the venue. The Carltun is in Eisenhower Park, which comprises more than 1,000 acres, making it bigger than Central Park. The Carltun itself sits on 26 acres within the park.

The festival is set for January 24, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm, at The Carltun on the Park on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow, a short drive from Williston Park. Tickets are $100 for regular admission, and $55 for designated drivers, and those in the trade. Minors under the age of 21 will be required to purchase a minor ticket at the door, also for $55, on the date of the festival. Tickets are not refundable, and attendees may be asked to present identification.
