An upcoming event near Williston Park should allow those who attend to really lose themselves.
Queens County Farm Museum in Floral Park, a community close to Williston Park, is the site of the Amazing Maize Maze, which is the only corn maze in New York City. It is open during the day on weekends in September and October, but it is only open at night twice.
The Maze by Moonlight event allows people to explore the maze after dark. The evening starts with a Stalk Talk that tells people what to expect as they try to solve the puzzle. The maze covers three acres, and visitors will be challenged to figure out puzzles and find clues that will help them find the way out.
The Maze by Moonlight occurs this Saturday, October 3, and again on October 24, with visitors limited to two-hour windows, from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm, and from 7:30 pm until 9:30 pm. Ticket holders may enter at any time during their designated two-hour period. The entries are staggered, and the number of visitors allowed will be reduced to meet health guidelines. Everyone is also asked to bring their own flashlight to avoid contact with others.
Tickets need to be bought in advance online, as none will be sold at the farm. Poster printing can provide advertising in the area for events like this.
