Vintage cars cruise across Long Island
During ‘Classic Car Cruise Nights’ this summer in Oyster Bay, near Syosset, fans of vintage cars will have an opportunity to take a look at some beauties from the past or to show off their own classic vehicles.
Oyster Bay is hosting a total of four ‘Cruise Nights’ this summer. The first event was held on July 11th, at the Massapequa Long Island Rail Road Station parking lot, on Sunrise Highway. The next Cruise Night will take place on July 25th. Two more will be held in August, on the 8th and 23rd. Each event will take place at the rail station.
The events are sponsored by the Department of Parks and Recreation, which could use flyer printing to spread the word and encourage vintage car enthusiasts to attend or register their vehicles.
Admission to the event is free for residents. Anyone who wants to display their own classic car needs to have registered when they arrive at the event. In lieu of a registration fee, car owners should make a donation of two food cans. The vintage cars must also have an up-to-date license and registration plate. Registration starts each Friday at 6:15pm.
Only vintage cars can be registered for the event, and no motorcycles are permitted at the event. Owners need to stay with their vehicles throughout the evening.
