Syosset families sign on for annual Boo! Walk

Variety Child Learning Center meets the needs of a diverse range of learners, and its staff, students, families and anyone else who is interested is invited to be part of its Syosset fundraising walk.

The Boo! Walk is one of the venue’s signature events, and it is scheduled for Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay. It will increase awareness of special needs, and it is described as a joyous occasion for everyone who takes part.

The families can lace up their sneakers for a one-mile walk, and this one who uses a mobility device may roll their way along the route. This will be joined by snacks, music and games. There will be other fun just for the younger walkers, and prizes will be presented to the winners of the costume contest. While they enjoy themselves, the attendees will be able to learn more about inclusion and how to make it easier for all kids to be valued as members of their community.

Fundraising walks and runs are often also highly effective at raising awareness of a cause. A banner printing company can craft custom signage for the start and finish lines of an event as well as lawn Signs and other signage to be posted along the way.

The 3rd annual Boo! Walk will hit the road starting at 63 Larrebee Avenue in Oyster Bay on October 4th. Its Patch listing offers more information for anyone interested in signing on.
