Syosset youth to show environmental focus
Young people have a valuable role to play in environmental stewardship, and will be able to get in on some grass roots level action in Syosset this summer.
The Sangha Education Center has plans in the works for its first ever Summer Solstice Celebration, and young people will be the focus of the festivities. There will be hands-on activities on offer, with more information about these provided as the date for the function gets closer.
The attendees will be invited to visit the stations set up, and at each, they will be able to learn while having fun with others their age. One of the projects will be to make houses for bee species, and they will also be lending a hand with caring for the garden beds at the house and farm. It will be an experience for all of the senses, and registrations for the activity are now being accepted.
