Syosset session to sharpen academic skills
Young people in Syosset who attend a lecture planned for the community will be able to hit the ground running when they head to their future university or college classes.
The Syosset Public Library has scheduled “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Students” session just in time for the start of another school year. It is for middle and high school students along with their parents, and the younger attendees will have time to develop these skills.
The activity, which will be facilitated by a college professor, will provide actionable strategies and tips, and learners will be encouraged to develop good academic habits they can call on as they move through their educational career. As there will be a lot of information provided, everyone is advised to bring a pen and paper to make notes, and an open mind is also highly recommended.
A workshop or other learning session that provides an introduction to a topic may supply the attendees with materials produced by a brochure printing company. These can contain a high volume of information in a small amount of space.
