Syosset session to help adults introduce kids to horticulture
Horticulture offers many benefits, and adults who work with children – including educators, parents and group leaders – may be interested in a workshop that will help them to share these with the younger set.
The Syosset area Growing Love Community Garden will be giving adults an opportunity to learn how they can introduce the basics of gardening to kids. The runtime for the session is one hour, and a variety of topics will be discussed.
Participants will find out how they can make horticulture more approachable to children, and safety will be the watchword for the suggested activities. Sustainability is on the agenda, and the attendees will discuss ways they can encourage youngsters to get excited about environmental stewardship through a variety of gardening practices. While kids may be the focus of the hour, they will not be able to attend the function.
Along with the discussion, the workshop will equip the registrants with information about a range of resources that may be helpful to them. A brochure printing company can provide event organizers with handouts and other materials.
