Syosset ready to get a lot more cheesy
Whether it's a humble, simple comfort food or a gourmet dish, macaroni and cheese continues to be quite popular, and it will be the centerpiece for a Syosset area celebration.
Dubbed the “New York Mac and Cheese Fest”, the activity will be spread out over two sessions. A VIP entry option is available, although these tickets are limited in number.
A wide variety of Long Island eateries will have their own version of the dish available for sampling, and everyone in attendance will be able to cast their vote for their top pick. A panel of celebrity judges will also choose their favorite, and a mac and cheese eating contest, live entertainment, hot sauce tastings and ice cold beer will all be on offer. The venue, which is located at 3232 Railroad avenue in Wantagh, can be reached by public transit, and admission to the celebration starts at $32.87, including fees and taxes.
Along with all the other fun, the festival will boast a pop up booth selling an assortment of merch featuring a special graphic design. Tanks, tee shirts and hoodies will all be on offer, along with other promotional products.
Wantagh’s Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall will be hosting this afternoon and evening of cheese-filled fun on October 23rd. Its Eventbrite listing includes a link to score tickets for the occasion.
