Syosset invited to enjoy special holiday event
The Syosset area is making plans for the upcoming holiday season, and a local community has invited its residents to enjoy a special event.
East Northport has scheduled its second annual tree lighting evening for early December. While the switch will officially be thrown at 5:30pm, the public is invited to arrive early to enjoy all the festivities on offer.
The plans for the occasion include a half hour long Christmas show, which will be performed several times throughout the day, as well as an ice-skating rink. Santa will read a story to the young (and the young at heart), and sleigh rides and carolling will also take place.
Kids can go for a spin on Rudy the mechanical reindeer, write a letter to Santa, and decorate cookies. There will also be a live nativity with animals, as well as plenty of opportunities to take photos.
Attendees can warm themselves with hot pretzels, cocoa and cider, and the function will be held rain or shine.
Vendor and volunteer application forms, letterheads, sponsorship packages, and personalized VIP invites can all be prepared for a special occasion by area printers.
East Northport has made plans to offer the community celebration on December 2, starting at 3:00pm. The location can be found at 400 Elwood Road, NY, and the event is free to attend.
