Syosset asked to donate at local blood drive
An urgent call has gone out to New York residents to donate blood, and those who call Syosset home are encouraged to be at the front of the line.
The New York Blood Center has issued a call for donations, and it noted that each contribution can save many lives. It will be hosting a mobile drive at Hicksville’s Trinity Lutheran Church, and for the safety of both the donor and staff, masks are required.
One the day of the event, donations will start every 15 minutes, and the participants can choose the time that works best for them. The organizer of the activity explained that the process is safe, and the only preparation the registrants will need to make ahead of time will be to ensure they have plenty to eat and drink on the morning of their booked appointment. The donation itself will only take about a bit more than 10 minutes, and there will be an intake session beforehand and refreshments served afterwards.
Donating blood as part of an event like this is a ritual for many, and a poster printing company can aid in spreading the word about how important this sort of activity can be.
The New York Blood Center has made arrangements to host this mobile blood drive on October 14. The donations can be booked every 15 minutes, starting at 3:30 pm, and the function will take place at 40 West Nicholai Street.
