Syosset asked to contribute to local toy drive
The holidays are a special time of the year, and in Syosset, it will be even more festive thanks to the efforts of a group of community volunteers.
The organizers of the Holiday Allstars Toy Drive want to make sure every child in the area has a gift to open this holiday season. Thompson Middle School will be holding a toy drive. The proceeds will be collected and donated to those in need, and all support is appreciated.
Those who wish to make a contribution are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy, or more than one if their budget will allow. High school students have donated their time to serve as gift wrappers with the younger attendees, and live entertainment and snacks are both on the agenda. A local community service agency will make sure the gifts find their way to families in need, and everyone is welcome to be part of this day of festive fun.
A poster printing company will be able to get the word out to a community about a fundraiser or other charitable events taking place, helping to bring it to the interest to its residents.
The Holiday Allstars Toy Drive is on the way for Syosset, and its doors will open at 10:00 am on December 11. Everyone is encouraged to include the activity in their December plans.
