Syosset area tiny turtles set to make their debut
Some new life will be entering the world this summer, and the public has been invited to pay them a visit.
Syosset families are invited to pay a visit to the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery and Aquarium and meet the newly hatched resident baby turtles. The visitors can view these tiny reptiles as well as the other creatures that call the site home.
Staff will be present so that anyone who has questions will be able to ask them. They can meet the hatchlings, tour the facility and enjoy some refreshments, and admission to the activity starts at $7 for adults, $5 for kids and $6 for seniors. There will be lots of photo ops for those who would like to take some picture of the few-days-old baby turtles, presenting a chance for everyone to learn more about these shy creatures.
A special day like this can present fundraising opportunities for an organization.
