Syosset area sets date for chili cook-off

Syosset home chefs who pride themselves on their chili recipe are invited to put their creation to the test in friendly competition planned for the local area.

The title of Six Harbor 2025 Chili Champion is up for grabs, and the cook-off has been scheduled for early February. This will be its third year, and along with bragging rights, the winner will walk away with a trophy they can proudly display.

Each person interested will need to provide a large crockpot for the taste testers to sample, and full list of the materials they will need to supply, including how much chili to make, will be provided. There is no registration fee to enter, while tasting tickets for the public are $28.55. Each taste tester will receive 5oz samples of all of the entries, as well as their first drink. Once they have finished their sampling, the attendees will be able to vote for their top choice.

A culinary competition can be fun for the contestants and judges alike. Themed Corporate Gifts can be ordered to utilize as prizes, and they can be printed with an activity's logo or other graphics if desired.

Six Harbors Brewing Company will see area chili chefs going head to head in its annual cook-off, which will be held on Sunday, February 2. The fun will kick off at 2:00 pm.
