Syosset area sets date for cancer symposium

Medical professionals, researchers, advocates and others with an interest in liver cancer will all be in attendance for a Syosset event that will be focused on this group of diseases.

The First Annual Liver Cancer Symposium has been organized by the Northwell Health Cancer Institute, and it will welcome leading experts from around the world. It will cover everything from the latest research into liver cancer to the most cutting-edge treatments, and collaboration will be the order of the day.

When they arrive, the delegates will be able to register and have breakfast together, with the schedule of presentations set to begin at 9:00 am. Several sessions have been planned, and a patient has been invited to share their story. The keynote speaker will address the group at lunch, before the learning sessions continue on throughout the afternoon. The activity will wrap up with a cocktail mixer, and this will be a time for networking between the attendees.

The symposium is open to both Northwell employees and non-employees alike, and the registration fee is free for the staff members. Others are asked to pay $25.00 each. Promotional pens and other swag for a conference, trade show, or expo can be ordered from local print shops.

The First Annual Liver Cancer Symposium will be running from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm at 500 Hofstra Boulevard in Hempstead on September 28th. The networking mixer will begin immediately afterwards.
