Syosset area celebration to show love to the scaly set

When it comes to pets, some feel that reptiles and amphibians are more their cup of tea than the cute and cuddly, and those who find these creatures fascinating may find an upcoming event perfect.

A day that will be dedicated to amphibians and reptiles such as frogs, snakes, turtles, axolotls, and lizards will be hosted at the Cold Springs Harbor Fish hatchery and Aquarium, and it is being presented to the public thanks to the Long Island Herpetological Society. Some of this Syosset area hatchery’s own residents will be included in the displays.

This family friendly occasion will give the public a chance to meet some live amphibians and reptiles, and they can also learn about their life cycle and the role they play in the environment. Native species will be front and center in an activity suitable for almost any age.

A special event like his can often attract a large crowd of visitors to a facility. If the planners visit a local printer first, it will have lots of promotional products and other items that can be sold to help raise funds for the organization.

This day that will show some love to the creatures that crawl and slither their way through life will be held on June 6. Admission to the celebration starts at $5.
