Syosset area celebrating Arbor Day
It's been said that whoever plants a tree makes an investment in the future, and this will be the spirit behind a special activity that will soon be on offer near Syosset.
Planting Fields Arboretum has issued an invitation to one and all to head to the venue and participate in a public awareness project that will be combined with family-friendly fun. A special guest will be on site to meet the kids and, if the weather cooperates, many of the location’s 4,000 trees, including its magnolias, will be in bloom.
The guests at the function will be able to take part in the activities that will be on offer, and Smokey the Bear will be on hand to teach kids about preventing forest fires and share tree care tips. Everyone will have an opportunity to learn about how they can get involved in grassroots level environmental stewardship, and admission is $25.00 per carload.
Outdoor celebrations may call for decor that can withstand being out in the sun, wind and even rain. A banner printing company will often be called on for these items, and can offer graphic design services and other supports.
