Red Hook works on its craft

A local Red Hook vintage shop will host a craft-making workshop for residents this March.

The event will focus on Cutting Board Decor. Students attending the workshop will have the opportunity to decorate the normally plain cutting boards, enabling them to add their own personalities to the board. The session will even have step-by-step guidelines for professional craft instructors. They will learn to do embellishments, transfers, and stenciling from teachers.

All cutting boards are available for purchase at the event’s venue. Their sizes average 14 x 18 inches. Each board costs $45. Attendees will also receive complimentary snacks and refreshments at the event.

The workshop is organized by Hudson Valley Vintage, which is a local destination for furniture painting and other such craft projects. They specialize in classes that teach DIY enthusiasts to do simple art projects. They cater to large and small groups, private events, and more. For specific classes that cater to their interests, patrons may contact the store to make arrangements.

The event requires registration. Options for registering are available online, or at the shop's location. Patrons may also call the shop to make their reservations.

Graphic design may offer a great deal of inspiration for participants at events like this.

The workshop will take place on Friday, March 10 at the Hudson Valley Vintage Studio. This is located at 17 East Market Street, Red Hook, New York. It begins at 6 pm.
