A great night's sleep starts with a good foundation, and a Red Hook area workshop event will help those who take part to build a bed that is best for them.
The Build a Bed Workshop will be facilitated by textile designers, and they will be sharing their knowledge and tips for creating an environment that promotes a good night's rest. It will be interactive, and the attendees will be invited to shop as well.
The activity will see a group of no more than 35 attendees walked through the principles of design, and mixing textures and patterns will be discussed. They will be able to plan their dream bed, with the block Print designs of John Robshaw in the spotlight. A tour of the venue and a wine and cheese reception are both in the works.
After the workshop has drawn to a close, learners will be invited to do some shopping at Hammertown Barn. To thank them for their attendance, they will be able to access a special discount on their purchases.
Home decor is a topic of interest for many, and attending a workshop provides the chance to learn some new techniques. Copies of any handouts that will be distributed can be ordered in advance from area printing services companies.
