Red Hook festival to celebrate farming

Historic Red Hook has plans in the works for an activity that will provide a step back in time while also celebrating the community's present and future.

Elmendorph Inn and Green is set to welcome the Then and Now festival, which will have a theme of farms, food, and families. It will offer a sneak peek into how agricultural operations shaped the area, and there will be a wide variety of discoveries to be made.

The gathering will be filled with displays that showcase Red Hook’s history, with a variety of small business vendor tables and booths on hand as well. Attendees will be able to purchase a snack or meal from one of the food service providers, and music will keep the atmosphere feeling festive.

During the celebration, the organizers will be announcing the launch of a family-friendly scavenger hunt and self-guided driving tour. Both of these will be going live on May 11. There is also a panel discussion scheduled for May 30 that will explore the future of farming. A brochure printing company can prepare an assortment of informational materials, and can aid its clients in choosing the options best suited to them.

The Then and Now Festival will be offering a tip of the hat to Red Hook’s agricultural sector on June 1. It will run from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm at 7562 North Broadway.
