Red Hook’s plant parents who would like to provide a spiffy new home for green members of their family may want to sign up for a beginner level pottery workshop.
Rose Hill Farm will be hosting an activity in partnership with Nature’s Impact. Everyone will be making their own planter mug, and as each will be made by hand, they will all be unique.
The instructor for the session will teach how to mold, shape, and paint the planters, and everyone will learn basic hand building techniques. They can add their own personal flair, and there will be a variety of colors of glazes to choose from so that they can add an extra dash of excitement. Anyone who would like to purchase a drink to sip on will receive a $5 coupon.
The finished pieces will be collected for firing in a kiln and made available for pick-up or delivery from the date of the activity. Tickets are $80 each, plus applicable fees and taxes.
An in-person crafting activity can help to beat the late winter blahs. Organizers of these events often choose to utilize the services of a flyer printing company to help spread the word.
Rose Hill Farm will be offering its Planter Workshop on Friday, March 14. It will start at 6:00 pm.
