Painting event to be held for locals

A furniture painting class will be held in Red Hook this April.

“Furniture Painting 101” is aimed at all arts and crafts enthusiasts looking to improve their skills. Patrons will get the chance to work with high-quality mineral-based paints. This type of paint is non-toxic, odorless, and contains natural ingredients such as earth oxide pigments. They provide safe, breathable working conditions for users.

Using these materials, organizers will cover topics such as prepping furniture, painting techniques, and finishes. Refreshments will also be provided for all attendees, as well as the materials necessary to complete the workshop. These will include tools such as the sample furniture piece, paint, and brushes. The boutique frequently hosts sessions like these for residents. In addition to its regular courses, it also offers private sessions for parties of four or more.
