Local city goes dancing

A local Latin dance studio will host dance lessons for residents this February in Rosendale.

The sessions come as an initiative from the Dojo Dance Company. They frequently host events such as this where locals may learn a variety of dances from an experienced staff. The event will focus on popular Latin American dances such meringue, salsa, cumbia, and more. Patrons will have the opportunity to learn each dance from its basic steps, with room to practice with others and grow their skills. The classes are open to everyone and no doubt residents of nearby Red Hook will get involved.

The session offers both in-person and virtual sessions. Each allows for a comfortable learning pace for each participant. The available categories for lessons include single session Latin Funk Dance Workout, couples sessions, and technique lessons for solo dancers. The organizers recommend that those attending classes bring a bottle of water, as well as spare shoes to change into.

The cost for registration will be $60 per month. This includes up to five lessons. For a single session, the cost will be $20. Payments may be made through PayPal, Venmo, or Checks.

Poster printing can be a useful way to share information about events like this.

This event will begin on Monday, February 6 and continues weekly at the J&B Dance Studio at 434 Main Street, Rosendale, New York. It begins at 6:15 pm.
