Historic Red Hook will host a concert this July.
'Music on Elmendorph Green' will be a live performance by RJ Storm and the Old School Bluegrass Band. The group originated in Hudson Valley, and has provided music suitable for the young and old.
Bluegrass music is a genre that developed in the 1940s, with the majority of its sounds originating from stringed acoustic instruments. It features a variety of tunes including energetic upbeat songs, and more soothing and tranquil sounds.
The band consists of the fiddler Arthur Goldstein, bassists Roy Streever and Richard Hawthorne, and lead vocalist RJ Storm. The event is a picnic-style event, and patrons can bring their lawn chairs, blankets, and other amenities for their full enjoyment.
The goal of this musical affair is to entertain guests through a blend of genres and whimsical sounds. With the pandemic easing, the band also aims to welcome patrons back to the concert scene.
The event is free to attend, and open to all. Those attending must indicate by registering on the Eventbrite website. At events like this, flyer printing can provide ways to reach new audiences far and wide.
The concert will happen on July 16 at the Elmendorph Inn at 7562 North Broadway, Red Hook, New York. The performance begins at 5:00 pm, and ends at 6:30 pm.
