Rose Hill Farm is set to host a book launch event as it presents "Black River Orchard," the latest work by bestselling author Chuck Wendig.
The event is scheduled for a spooky season kick-off on a weekend featuring an heirloom apple tasting, discussions, and book signings. Chuck Wendig, known for his New York Times bestselling novels and extensive contributions to various media, including games and film, will be joined by Owen King, who is co-author of horror novelist Stephen King’s “Sleeping Beauties”.
The Oyster Party Food Truck will be on-site to offer fresh shucked oysters, and the Tasting Room Bar will be open for guests to enjoy.
Black River Orchard leads readers to the town of Harrow, where a unique orchard holds seven peculiar trees that produce a distinctive apple variety with nearly black skin. These apples promise strength and vitality with each bite, but have a dark side too.
Tickets for this event will be $15, which includes a $5 voucher redeemable for a beverage at the bar and an additional $5 voucher towards the purchase of the book. Printing services can be helpful with vouchers at events such as this.
