World-renowned clarinetist to visit Massapequa Park

Jon Manasse will be joining the Massapequa Philharmonic Orchestra for a performance in May at Alfred G. Berner Middle School in Massapequa Park.

Elegance and Brilliance: Beethoven, Weber, Schumann is a program where people can hear classical music performed by talented musicians.

Manasse is a distinguished clarinetist who has played at notable venues like the Walter Reade Theatre and Merkin Concert Hall. He has also performed with many groups, including the New York Pops Orchestra, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and American Ballet Theater Orchestra. Manasse is also a graduate of The Juilliard School.

The Massapequa Philharmonic Orchestra is a group of musicians who perform under the direction of David Bernard. He was appointed as the orchestra's music director in 2016 and has also been a guest director for groups like the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra and South Shore Symphony. Bernard also won The American Prize Orchestral Conducting Competition in 2019. Long Island Weekly once called him the Johnny Appleseed of Classical Music.

The concert will be held on Sunday, May 7 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Tickets to see the performance are available for $20 per person. Organizations that want to promote live shows to the community may use poster printing services to create ads they can place in high-traffic destinations such as libraries, colleges, or recreation centers.
