Race in Massapequa Park to benefit cancer foundation

Massapequa Park will be holding the 2nd Annual Zoefia's Race For Awareness in April and May.

Zoefia's Race for Awareness is a charitable race where runners can compete for the fastest completion times while supporting the Zoefia Alexandria Foundation. This year, the competitive activities include a 5K run/walk, 5K bike ride, and 5K swim. Each competition will be held virtually and can be completed anywhere in the United States. The fastest man and woman in the run/walk, biking event, and swimming contest will win a gift card for $150.

The Zoefia Alexandria Foundation is a non-profit organization that launched in 2020 with the purpose of raising awareness for brain cancer. The group benefits families impacted by cancer directly by helping with housing and education. Other events organized by the foundation include golf outings, Christmas toy drives, and holiday parades. Organizations with causes similar to this can promote themselves to supporters by using poster printing services.

The event will take place from Tuesday, April 12th to Thursday, May 12. Registration for the fundraiser will be open until May 12th. The cost to enter any of the athletic events will be $28 per person. Those who wish to add a swag bag to their admission can pay $58 instead. The swag bag package will include a wristband, event postcard, T-shirt, and racing bib.
