Best Buddies International will be organizing a fundraiser walk in Massapequa Park to benefit those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is a charitable event that encourages people to support the IDD community. The activity will take place at the gazebo in Marjorie R. Post Park. This year, the organizers intend to raise $52,500 for their cause. Participants in the fundraiser have already helped the organization receive more than $27,000. Those who help earn money for the foundation may earn prizes like custom earbuds, shoes, and branded clothing.
Best Buddies International is a non-profit group that helps members of the IDD community find employment, develop their leadership skills, and make lasting friendships. Many conditions are supported by the organization, including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Williams syndrome, and Fragile X. The programs offered by the group also help people with IDD live independently and improve their public speaking skills. Non-profits similar to this may utilize brochure printing to make Booklets that share the organization’s mission with readers.
The walk will be held on Saturday, May 14 from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. Those interested in supporting the group can register as a fundraiser or donate to the non-profit’s cause. People who raise $50 for the organization will receive a commemorative T-shirt from Best Buddies International.
