The Chefs of Long Island Wine and Food Tasting is a unique opportunity to sample dishes from the best chefs in the area next month.
Diners can discover what delicacies the best restaurants and beverage providers in Long Island have to offer as 40 entrants display their talents during this event. Included in the evening will be raffles, a silent auction and live music. The restaurant chefs will present their signature dishes and area breweries and vineyards will offer tastings of their best products.
All the proceeds from the evening will go to support the nonprofit run by the organizer, Life’s WORC. The nonprofit supports people with autism and developmental and intellectual disabilities. They help to house over 250 individuals with disabilities and provide support to 2,300 others.
Locals can attend the event for a date night or use the evening as a corporate gift or company event. Ticket prices are $100 each and reservations for a table for 10 are $1,500. Sponsorship opportunities that include one to three tables that seat 12 guests each, as well as other sponsorship plans are also available. The Chefs of Long Island Wine and Food Tasting is on March 11 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Carltun at 1899 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow.
