The Marine Corps League in Massapequa Park will be holding an event in October to honor veterans.
The 20th Annual VA Hospital Run is an event that invites the community to help support vets while partaking in fun activities. The organizers will be giving out door prizes at the Marine Corps League and will also hold a raffle. A light breakfast will be available at the venue as well. Guests are encouraged to bring new socks, sweats, and underwear to donate at the event for veterans. Drinks can be purchased at the on-site cash bar.
After the race is completed, the Marine Corps League will be holding a BBQ that features a live performance from The Electric Dudes - a party band that can play various genres such as dance, country, and rock. The band also has original music like Down on his Luck, and was voted this year’s Best Band on Long Island by LI Press. Performers similar to this can use business card printing to give their contact information to interested fans.
The event will be on Saturday, October 23. Guests can sign up for the run from 9:00 am to 11:15 am, and the afterparty will take place at 1:00 pm. Riders must pay $20 to register, and passengers will only need to pay $10. The party will last until 5:00 pm.
