Motown fans can attend Massapequa Park’s summer concert series to hear a live performance from Dr. K’s Motown Revue later this month.
Supervisor Joseph Saladino and the Town Board of Oyster Bay have created the ongoing summer concert series, Music Under the Stars. There has been a variety of performances held during the series, featuring cover artists like Tribute to the King, Barometer Soup, and the Rock This Town Orchestra. Those who attend the event can purchase meals from the on-site food trucks near the concert.
Dr. K’s Motown Revue was founded by Paul Korman, who created the band out of people he had met and wanted to play alongside. The band is known for their ability to authentically portray Motown hits with their group of talented singers and musicians. Korman has performed with his group at multiple venues, including the Sellersville Theatre and Stepping Stone Park. Performers can use flyer printing to help bring attention to their upcoming concerts.
The Music Under the Stars concert series is a free event that everyone can attend. The performance will be held this Tuesday, July 30 and will begin at 8:00 pm. Guests can bring blankets and chairs to the venue, though there will be no prior seating before 4:00 pm.
