This June, the Massapequa Road Runners will be hosting their annual Firecracker 5K and ¼ Mile Kids Fun Run in Massapequa Park, New York.
Now in its 39th year, the event brings the community together to compete in a race held at Brady Park. Participants will run on a course of about three miles in length that goes through Massapequa Park, beginning at the corners of Park and Clark Boulevard.
Once the race is completed, there will be a post-race festival held at the Brady Park Picnic Area. Finishers will be given cold hand towels, and there will be food and beverages. Entertainment for kids will also be provided at the post-race festival. Terry Bisogno is going to be the emcee for the event.
Anyone who would like to support for the Massapequa Road Runners can purchase Promotional Products that display the group’s logo from their online store, including custom Apparel such as T-Shirts, hats, and singlets. People can also join the group of runners for $20 per year.
The run will be held on June 30. The Fun Run will begin at 4:15 pm, while the 5K race will start at 5:00 pm. The price to join the 5K race is $25 per person, though those who are age 70 or older can enter the race for free.
