Massapequa Park to give dog training lesson

An experienced dog trainer will visit a library in Massapequa Park to help owners with their pets.

Dog Parenting 101 is a program that helps people understand their dogs better by introducing them to the basics of canine-centered behavioral issues. The instructor for the course is Kat Leelum, the owner of MadKat Dog Training. The lesson will cover topics such as dog-owner laws and training tips. No dogs are allowed to attend the event, which is intended for adults.

MadKat Dog Training is a business that only uses positive training to teach dogs how to improve their behavior. The instruction methods avoid using shock collars and physical or verbal reprimands.
