Massapequa Park to debut new fundraising event

The Mighty Mason's Warriors will be organizing a new run/walk activity in Massapequa Park to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).

The Mighty Mason's Warriors 1st Annual Walk for LLS is an event that helps raise awareness for leukemia and lymphoma while offering fun activities for families. The organizers are named after Mason Maier, an inspirational child diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. DJ Harry will be providing musical entertainment, and John Lepre will perform a magic show. The Massapequa Chamber of Commerce will also be at the event as the sponsor of an egg hunt.

The LLS is an organization dedicated to fighting against medical issues such as Hodgkin's disease, lymphoma, and myeloma by funding blood cancer research from around the globe. The group also provides families with free educational resources and support services like online chats, patient aid programs, and travel assistance. People can even create their own fundraisers for the organization and make tribute pages to honor their loved ones.

The Mighty Mason's Warriors 1st Annual Walk for LLS will be held on April 10 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Marjorie Post Park. Guests will have the option to register as an individual or a team. The first 300 people who register will get a T-shirt for the event. Those who make fundraisers such as this can use banner printing to promote the charitable activity outdoors.
